Thank you for reading my blog. Yes, you can prune it now. Follow it up with an application of 6-6-6 fertilizer, and this should be done once every 2 months until September. Make sure it gets plenty of water as this could also be the reason for not as many blooms.

Mr. Jeffries , I have an area along cement walkway where I want to plan Flowers/shrubs . Area would be about 2 to 21/2 ft wide . It is by back garage door also , west side of small house. It only gets afternoon sun . Do you have any suggestions as to what to plant ?

You can plant annual/perennial border of various varieties of flowering plants. I think you area is too narrow for shrubs.
